Mountain Leader Assessment
This week we have been delivering and Mountain Leader Assessment course. Day 1 we headed to the Coniston fells for the first day navigation and kick of to the course with a river crossing to finish. Day 2 was rope work day up at Red Screes and then Day 3 to 5 our mini expedition. In the northern hemisphere it mainly rains said the weather forecast and after 3 days of rain, camping on Alan Crags and Codale tarn and challenging navigation it gave the team a great opportunity to show off their poor visibility navigation skills and knowledge and ability to look after themselves in the hills. Great effort to all, a pleasure to be part of your learning journey, even when assessing we manage to fit extra training in.
