The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
Overview
The Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme has changed the lives of thousands of young people across the UK, its combination of personal development, challenge and achievement making it a unique experience.
There are so many rewards for young people who do DofE programmes and achieve the awards. Its balanced programme of activities develops the whole person, mind, body and soul in an environment of social interaction and team working.
Furthermore, as doing their DofE involves developing a personal programme of challenging activities, participants will enjoy experiences and rewards and benefit from the following:

Canoe Expedition Training
course overview
This course is based in the lake district and will be over a minimum of 3 days.
Canoe Expedition Assessment
course overview
The group will plan an expedition through Scotland and then the execution of the master plan. Real Adventure will be in the distance supervising the team and monitoring the higher risk river aspects allowing the team to be safe but independent.
