I have spent my life here in the Lake District, a fantastic environment for adventure in the great outdoors. From the early age of 12, I found excitement, challenge and fun through climbing, caving and canoeing – I knew then that I had found my passion. This discovery has finally led me to start my current business providing opportunities for people to experience their own Real Adventures …

To date I hold a variety of high level qualifications for use in the outdoor environment. In my “play time” I have climbed all over the UK as well in Colorado and Yosemite and much of Europe and Australia.

This business feels like part of a fantastic journey I have accidentally stumbled upon … I love it.

I work as Technical Advisor for School Climbing walls and local provider for outdoor activities and represent the Association of Mountaineering Instructors (AMI) on the Mountain Leader Training England Board. I also stand as the AMI representative on the BMC’s Technical Committee and Chair the Cumbria Bolt Fund. I hope to bring a variety of knowledge to the courses that I run and provide a relaxed and informative course whether it be a training, refresher or assessment.

Sally Ozanne

Sally has been working in the outdoors since graduating from university in 2000 with a BA in Outdoor Studies. Her breadth of experience spans not only the industry but the globe, with paddling and overland expeditions in South East Asia, Nepal, India, Patagonia and Bolivia.

Sally is qualified in multi disciplines and has a wealth of experience in the outdoors. Having spent the winter working at Plas Y Brenin mountaineering and paddling she is now back in the Lakes.

Sally is not one to sit still… her typical weekend involves an early morning run with Marcy (her dog!) followed by a ride, climb or paddle depending on the weather and the same again on sunday. Sally can always be found outside!

Tom Sibbald

Tom Sibbald – Canoe Coaching

Tom is an inspiration to work with and be coached by. There is not one person that finishes a course with Tom that does not have a smile on there face from the time they have spent learning and developing there knowledge on the water.

Tom first paddled a canoe in New Zealand – 3 days in the huge rock bounded gorge of the Wanganui River. It rained all day every day, the water rose 9 feet one night. He loved it and was hooked.

Canoeing captures Tom’s passion and dreams for adventure in the outdoors. A little to his surprise he also discovered that sharing canoeing with others is as inspiring.

When Tom can be persuaded to get off the water he is also a hidden legend at land based adventure. Tom and I have done a lot of caving in the Dales and have spent time in the Alps climbing together. Everyone who spends time with Tom is inspired.

Tom Redfern

Tom has now moved to Scotland, so if you are looking for an adventure up north he is your man. Tom is the head of the outdoor education centre Ingleborough Hall, if you are looking for training and assessment for the Local Cave and Mine Leader Award then get in touch.
