Real Adventure & The Curriculum
Our programmes are proving to be an excellent way to give pupils valuable experiences and learning opportunities in a large range of subject areas across the Curriculum.
Key Skills with Real Adventure
Our programmes are designed to help schools show evidence that their pupils are developing the key skills listed below. The activities are all part of outdoor and adventurous education, combining technical and practical skills with educational and interactive experiences.
For post 16 education as well as learning across the curriculum requirements we also tailor programmes to assist in the Key Skills qualifications.
- Working with others.
- Problem solving.
- Improving own learning and performance.
Many of the experiences that pupils go through during a week at Real Adventure cover many aspects of the programme of study and non-statutory guidelines of Citizenship.
Key Stage 2:
- Developing confidence and responsibility and making the most of their abilities.
- Preparing to play an active role as citizens.
- Developing a healthier, safer lifestyle.
- Developing good relationships and respecting the differences between people.
Key Stage 3 and 4:
- Developing skills of enquiry and communication.
- Developing skills of participation and responsible action.
Subject Area Provision
At Real Adventure we offer a range of activities that can provide valuable learning opportunities for particular subject areas.
Real Adventure can provide for the breadth of study from KS2 to KS4, providing a range of challenges and experiences, which will help to provide evidence towards the level descriptors of the PE attainment target. Our programmes can be designed with you to develop the required range of knowledge, skills and understanding in this area.
We just wanted to thank you for running our Real Adventure Club. It was a great success and very much enjoyed by the children. We really appreciated the though and planning that went into each session and your enthusiasm and commitment to the venture. It seemed very strange to not be out on the fells in the dark this week!
We hope we will be able to work with you again in the future.
