Staff Day Out
What a way to unwind after a long year. We canoed out to Peal Island with the teachers from Lindale and Marton School and had a BBQ after some fun and challenge along the way. Highlights of the afternoon / evening were jumping off the island into the lake and having a good swim about, stories over the BBQ with a small glass, then more fun as we swam under the boats and pretended attempted to float around the island. Lots of fun and the Lucie and the team went away with big smiles and ready for a well earned summer off.
Barrow Island Climbing Day
Twenty five young people from Barrow Island spent the morning or afternoon climbing in the south lakes as part of their residential based at Fisher Ground Campsite. Real Adventure had a brilliant day out supporting the residential organised by Barrow Island Primary School.
Fitness Boot Camp
A great day was had rock climbing and ghyll scrambling above Ullswater. Real Adventure provided an instructor to support the technical aspects of the boot camp, while the group was self sufficient at the Bury Jubilee Hut at the base of Helvellyn.

Everton FC
Everton Football Club have been with us for the past couple of days, after the team had won last Saturdays match against Birmingham 2-0 the coach decided that the lads deserved a treat in the Lakes in the form of “a beasting” up some hills and a day on the peddles.
They arrived at the Lakeside Hotel on Monday for a light brunch before heading to the top of Coniston Old Man with Kat, Neil and Howie (3 of the RA staff).
Today the huge coach made it to Grizedale Forest where we guided them on a mission round the forrest on Mountain Bikes.
A huge thanks to the team for being top lads.
See you all on the next adventure.
who would have thought..
My wife and I climbed Dow Crag and Coniston Old Man on the same day. We bumped into one of the Everton team groups.
A great surprise – I’m an Evertonian as well as a fellwalker.

Climbing with Graham
A Family where staying in the Yurts at Rhydal Hall, Ben at the yurts popped them in touch with us here are Real Adventure because they where wanting to do some climbing whilst they where here. The boys had been to a climbing wall a few times but had never been out on real rock.
Graham took them up Borrowdale and they had a great time learning the basics of outdoor climbing. 2 routes and a couple of abseils and they where keen for more.
We normally book courses in advance with people, this lucky family managed to find one of us free last minuite
Family rock climbing taster day
Today Margret and her 2 kids came over to the Lakes to try there hand at climbing outside & see if it where something they would like to get into. Both Amy and James and their mum had been down to their local climbing wall a few times and really enjoyed it and where just curious to see what it was like outside. We headed to Borrowdale, One of the best places in the Lakes to take your first step on rock. At Brown Slabs we did 3 routes, 4 pitches and 2 absiels then headed to the cafe for tea & ice cream.
See you on an adventure soon…
